Welcome to teachersnotes.info

Hi! This is Ms. McLain.

This website contains information that will be helpful to the students in my classes. This year I am teaching Freshman English, Sophomore English and Algebra. Each class has its own page. On each page there will be the syllabus, a list of important assignments that the class will complete as well as important dates in the class.

A few rules...

  • Be on time for class.
  • Students are expected to be in their seats with all materials when the bell rings (see the always have section to the right).
  • Turn all work in on time. NO LATE WORK IS ACCEPTED.
  • Raise your hand to speak and wait to be called on before you speak. Respect is key.
  • Refrain from bad language and backtalk. Arguing is a sport that does not belong in our class

St's Academic Integrity Policy

Academic integrity is a basic guiding principle for all academic activity at St. Augustine High School, allowing the pursuit of scholarly activity in an open, honest, and responsible manner. Academic dishonesty is an affront to the integrity of scholarship at Saints and a threat to the quality of learning. Any student who is found to have engaged in academic dishonesty – cheating, plagiarizing, copying another student’s work, giving another student work to copy, viewing another’s work during a quiz or test, passing off another’s work as their own, or otherwise engaging in behavior that purposefully undermines the intent of the learning activity - will face both academic and disciplinary consequences. Academically, he will receive a zero on the assignment and the student’s counselor will be notified. Additionally, he will be reported to the Asst. Principal of Student Services who will administer the appropriate disciplinary consequence, up to and including expulsion.

A little information about Ms. McLain...

This is my third year at Saint Augustine and I could not be happier. I grew up in San Diego. I attended West Hills High School and continued with my education at San Diego State University. I am currently working on my master’s degree in special education at National University.

I am a teacher dedicated to my students. I try to make myself as accessible as possible. I will be available during lunch and after school most days. I run a tutoring program Monday thru Thursday mornings from 6:45 a.m. until 7:30 a.m., students are free to stop by any time.
